This morning we are leaving Stockholm after 12 days. We pack, take down the aluminum foil on the window and are out the door at 7:45, walking to our bus stop. We go downstairs to catch a train to the train station.
At the train station we have McDonald's for breakfast, because we ran out of milk and cereal yesterday. We are taking the 9:15 train to Skovde, Sweden.
Arriving in Skovde at our hotel at 11:40. It was just a three block walk from this small train station to our Clarion Hotel.
Our room is not ready, so we leave our bags and go for a walk around the town. It's pretty small and by 3:00 we've walked around the town including around the square, had lunch at Subway, shopped in a couple of shops, walked through two parks and through some residential areas.
We stopped and got some water and some cookies (no ice cream tonight) and checked into our room. It's a lovely room on the second floor with a balcony.
Karen is reading everything she can find on the D23 EXPO. It's 34 days from now and we don't have much time during our touring days to plan. Our room here not only comes with breakfast tomorrow morning, but also a light dinner tonight. Karen had a nice bowl of chili with cheese, onions and some good bread. Pat had the same over white rice. There were also some salads and another baked bread.
Pat walked over to check out the bus for tomorrow. We can see the stop from the room window.
Then we check out Skara Sommerland, our amusement park for tomorrow, on the internet and do some more reading on the EXPO.
