Thoughts on leaving Sweden.
Liseberg was a great amusement park; beautiful and great with fast coasters with a lot of airtime.
Grona Lund with its waterfront location was nice and it was fun to do the ABBA museum and dinner show. That's it, that's what we will remember about Sweden.
No hurry this morning, because our train doesn't leave until 1pm.
Karen does a little work on her Pulpit Rock video. It's 7 minutes long. We pack up and leave the hotel, cross the street to the bus stop for the bus to the train station. After checking the board for our track number we sit down at Burger King and have lunch.
The Train left right on time at 1 pm. We have seats next to each other facing backwards with a table across from two empty (so far) seats. (They stayed empty the whole trip.) The scenery, once we left the city, is trees and greenery.
We arrived in Oslo at 4:50. At the train station, we picked up our Norway in a Nutshell tickets (we had bought online) and checked out the lockers for location and fit for the Nutshell trip and another overnight trip we are taking, so we won't have to take our large suitcases, just our back packs.
Next we found the bus to our new home for the next nine days in Tjuvholmen. Jane was in the apt when we arrived and showed us where everything was. We have a washer and a dryer in this apartment, which is very good, because I think everything we have is dirty. But, we'll have a nice view while our laundry is getting done.
This place looks great for us.
We asked about a fan because the apartment was hot and stuffy. But she said no fan. Just open the doors. What we didn't notice, until after we bought groceries, is that there is no microwave here.
We put a few things away and put a load in the washer, then went to dinner. We shared a pizza. Wasn't that great, won't be back there.
Went to the grocery store and got supplies, cereal, milk, water, potatoes for dinner (oops no microwave) and ice cream. Going back home, we continued with the laundry – a very slow process here.
