Up early this morning because Karen has an appointment in the spa with Shiens. She has a breakfast bar in the room, showers and heads up to the spa.
Upon arriving back in her room, Karen has a big beautiful bouquet of flowers from Brian sitting on her table for Mother's Day!!! What a great son. Thanks Bri.
Karen heads down to the sale that's down by the pool, but she doesn't find it and it's time for the talk on the ports we are visiting the next three days in a row.
So she joins Brian and Pat in the theater. Good talk on the ports. Now it's time for lunch as Karen is starving; really not much breakfast this morning. Well we need to learn that lunch doesn't start until noon.
After eating, Brian and Pat shot some hoops, then Pat and Karen played tennis with a whiffle ball.
Karen went to The Art of Flower Arrangement and learned that HAL has two locations that grow flowers for them. One is in Rotterdam and one is in America. They grow their own scent-less flowers so that people with allergies won't have problems. Pat and Brian played ping pong.
Afterwards Karen met them in the Crows Nest for Team Trivia. Our score was 7, winning score was 9.
Next up for Karen on this Sea Day was High Tea, but when she arrived it looked full with people waiting. Pat and Brian were still playing ping pong, so Karen went to explore.
She found the library. It's huge and there's a game room and a puzzle table. Walking by the travel section she saw Lonely Planet books and took one on Norway and one on Scandinavia, but didn't find any Sudoku or word games papers.
She headed back to the room. Usually on cruise ships she's freezing inside, but today she's so hot in all the indoor places she's been. So she open her door and looks at her books, write her journal, enjoy a Coke and a cookie and a view of the water and the people walking around the deck. Pat comes back and works on a blog. Karen put her clock outside to see the temp. The temperature is going down fast outside. It was 56 degrees in fifteen minutes. Time for dinner.
After dinner we went back to the room to write. Some how we've gotten behind. Then at 7:30 we all three went to trivia. We didn't win again. We got 7. Winners had 10.
The show with the singers and dancers was next and they called it Variations. Had all kinds of music. It was OK.
After the show we came back to the room but it's still light out. We have the curtains open, its 46 degrees out now, as we try to get caught up on journal and blogging.
