It's a "Sea Day" today. Nothing but cruising from our port yesterday, Bergen, to our port tomorrow, Rotterdam.
Slept in till 7:30 today. Pat and Brian decided to do the ping pong tournament, so they decided to go practice.
Karen went to Cast Chat. 10 dancers and singers come out and sit on the edge of the stage .
They've been preforming together 3 weeks on the ship. Before this they started with 6 weeks of rehearsal in Hampton, England. They will be together here on the Rotterdam for 6 months.
They are contracted through Belinda King out of England. Next week we will have two new shows. Sounds like they do two shows a week. On Grand Voyages they do 10-12 shows. Sounds like two different shows per week for every cruise, no matter how long. Then we got a quick walk-through of the dressing rooms and saw the costumes and hats.
I went up to see Brian's and Pat's tournament which was just ending, but they were not in the final. They each lost to the two people who ended up in the Finals.
We then had tacos out by the pool in front of the burger place. They were delicious.
Trivia on Norway was done by Claudia, the lady who does the talks on the cities. We joined with our dinner table friends Garth and his wife, Julia, and we won with 16 points. We got a pin from Holland Cruise Lines Mediterranean. Why Mediterranean, we do not know.
Next it was on to Trivia in the Crows Nest with Sabine. This was general Trivia and we only got 13. But Sabine was nice because this was the last Trivia of the cruise week and she gave anyone who wanted a pin a pin, which was great because she had the pin for our cruise, Northern Europe. So Karen went up and got one. It's cool, because it's our cruise and it has a windmill on it.
Pat and Brian played some more ping pong and I grabbed some ice cream and took it back to the room.
Unfortunately, we are fogged in again and I don't enjoy much of a view. Next I go down to the photo salon and pull all our photos from the first week. We didn't take very many, but if I decide to get some the first weeks go away tonight unless I pay for a package. So I paid for the smallest package and picked up all our pictures and they put them in a folder in the back. At the end of next week I can see all the photos we had taken on both weeks and decide which ones I want. Then I can get that package or another one or get a refund if I don't want any.
After that Karen walks the fourth and fifth floors checking out a couple rooms she hadn't seen yet. The Queens room is a computer class room. The Kings room is a meeting room. Then it was time for dinner in the Lido Restaurant.
The three of us play a fast game of Scrabble before going to trivia. Name That Tune with show tunes is the game. We won!! 18 out of 20!
The next Name that Tune game theme is Rat Pack and we won that too! Wow. Pat went to hear the comedy guy but said he wasn't any good, so he came back after only two jokes, which was great because we needed him for trivia.
